January 19, 2012 - Tax Stamp News Goes Monthly, Now Free to Governments
Tax Stamp News is markeing the start of 2012 with the announcement that, from January onwards, it will change from a 12-page bi-monthly to a 8-page monthly newsletter. There will be no change to the subscription price - simply more news and analysis, with more frequency, for the same money. The new monthly newsletter will also be distributed free of charge to government agencies responsible for tax stamp programmes.
According to Astrid Mitchell, co-editor of Tax Stamp News, the decision to go monthly has been taken for the simple reason that 'there is simply too much going on in this rapidly-developing and changeing market for us to do justice with a newsletter every second month. The market wants to hear about what is happening when it is happening, not weeks later. Switching to a more regular monthly format will help us to achieve that'.
Tax Stamp News is also, from January, being made available free-of-charge to revenue and customs agencies charged with the responsibility for collecting excise duties on alcohol and tobacco and for specifying the systems which will enable them to do so effectively. This move, say the publishers, will ensure that news and best practice in tax stamp specification and implementation can be shared across all revenue authorities, wherever they are based in the world.
Such agencies should contact Reconnaissance International via the online Contact form to ensure inclusion on the distribution list. They will receive a pdf each month of Tax Stamp News, but will not have access to the premium content section of the Tax Stamp News website, which is available for paying subscribers only.
